Over 24 years ago – seems like a lifetime now – I was living and working in Queensland at Australia’s only destination health retreat. I couldn’t imagine a more idyllic or transformational place on earth. People would arrive feeling one way and leave feeling free of stress and totally rejuvenated. It amazed me how powerful rest, restoration and a good treatment can be, transforming the body and the mind.
There was no other place in Australia like this. No place where people could escape their busy lives and recharge within the city. I decided to move to Melbourne to create this space for people in the community. It was a big dream of mine and I am very fortunate that I have been able to bring it to life over the last 24 years.
We opened the Aurora Spa Retreat in 1997 in central Melbourne. To our delight, Aurora Spa was widely embraced by the Melbourne community and we were thriving. Based on my own formulas, we launched a collection of the Australian luxury spa and beauty range ASPAR products. Since then, Aurora Spa has reached many corners of Australia, including locations around the world. Thanks to our ASPAR products, we have made it into tens of thousands of homes.
Each product is natural in a bottle, using botanically active essential oils and extracts. The active ingredients partner with the most effective treatment techniques to achieve maximum results for every customer – whether that is to detox, uplift or deeply relax.
Now an internationally recognised brand with a rich history, ASPAR promotes wellness, relaxation, and Australian botanicals. The formulations had been tried and tested in over 500, 000 spa treatments, delivering their botanically-active therapy before being released to the retail market. The range is now featured on the shelves of high-end pharmacies, gift stores, David Jones, Mecca, beauty salons, specialty retailers internationally, and onboard Qantas flights and First Class lounges.
